Records EL-TORO-R&B112-ROY-BROWNEL TORO R&B 112 ROY BROWN – SATURDAY NIGHT!
This release explores those forgotten classics that Syd Nathan begrudgingly released on his main King label between 1953 and 1955. None of them enjoyed a whiff of chart action, even though the likes of Hurry Hurry Baby, Fanny Brown Got Married and Black Diamond were as good a black rock 'n' roll record as anything Joe Turner and Wynonie Harris recorded during this period – and in 1954, Elvis recorded and released his version of Good Rockin' Tonight, but it made no impact on Roy's fortunes. The 29 track set is completed by the inclusion of the best of his early sessions for Imperial including rock 'n' roll club classic Saturday Night and the unique interpretation of the double-sided Buddy Knox/Jimmy Bowen hit from 1956.
Shake 'Em Up, Baby!

Records ETCD-5002-THE-LONG-BOARDSETCD 5002 THE LONG BOARDS – MOTORHYTHM
I'm not really sure how the waves are off the coast of Spain, but with bands like the Longboards laying down blazing instrumental surf rock, at least we know the tunes are in good hands there. Recalling the Endless Summer days of big boards and fast cars, the Longboards rip it out in style on vintage pieces to match their retro cool vintage sounds full of reverb, wild guitar work and solid rhythms. Wickedly high-octane riffs, dynamic bass lines and cymbal crazy action on the kit mark the Longboards sets. They channel the big wave sounds of the King of the Surf Guitar himself, the one and only Dick Dale Ryan Osterbeck – Santa Cruz Reviews.

Records ETCD3022-CAROLINE-CASEYETCD 3022 CAROLINE CASEY AND THE STRINGSLINGERS – THIS BROKEN CROWN
Legendary music producer Kim Fowley highly recommends this album, calling Caroline Casey "The Honky-Tonk Queen of Austin!"
"This Broken Crown" delves deeply into country music of the late 1950s to the late 1960s, with an thirteen tracks combining into an irresistible blend of mostly original high-steppers, barstool tear-stirrers, and classic Texas two-steppers. Caroline Casey's music and lyrics embody the careworn, steel-spined resignation of Loretta Lynn or the "devil take me" attitude of early Johnny Paycheck or Don Gibson.
Some legendary Texas-based talents have also made their mark on the album, including acclaimed singer-songwriter Stephen Lee Canner, who contributed “Caffeine, Nicotine.”
Award-winning songwriter and ‘rockabilly legend’ Al Urban penned a previously unreleased waltz (“Used Wedding Rings”) back in 1965, which will also be heard for the first time on "This Broken Crown," much to the enjoyment of Al Urban fans everywhere. Al Urban has been writing songs since the mid 1940s, and wrote several hits for popular 60s country singer Charley Pride. Also featured on "This Broken Crown" is country music sensation Brennen Leigh, who duets with Caroline on the title track and shows her stellar mandolin skills on "Daddy's Girl."
